Elizabeth Hoene, Au.D.

Doctor of Audiology

Dr. Elizabeth Hoene earned her Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) from Western Michigan University in 2024 after completing her Bachelor of Science in Speech Pathology and Audiology at Kent State University in 2020. She also pursued minors in gerontology and psychology, reflecting her commitment to understanding the diverse needs of her patients. Dr. Hoene is licensed by the North Carolina and South Carolina Boards of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.

Dr. Hoene’s passion for audiology is deeply personal. Born with severe hearing loss, she was fit with hearing aids at a young age — an experience that inspired her career and allows her to connect with patients through empathy and shared understanding. She strives to create a supportive environment where patients feel heard, confident, and empowered in their care.

She specializes in adult and geriatric populations, with clinical interests in diagnostic hearing evaluations, hearing aid technology and fittings, and vestibular assessment, taking a patient-centered approach to ensure each individual feels confident and informed in their care.

Originally from Ohio, Dr. Hoene relocated to the Carolinas to pursue her career and continue serving patients in a growing community. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys reading, spending time with her dog, exploring local wineries, and relaxing by the coast.
